Fallin' Angels is the third single off her upcoming 2nd album ‘Staring at the Moon’ which is due for release in May 2024. Reflecting on how ‘Fallin’ Angels came about, Jenny says, “I wanted to write a song that became an anthem for my supporters to sing at shows, a song that makes the people room feel connected through the music. It’s very important to me that my music brings people together and that the topics I write about can uplift people, so that they walk away from a gig feeling a little bit less lonely and disconnected. The track talks about a range of topics covering forgiveness, peace, mental health, societal issues and the environment. The track is very fast-paced and driving, forcing the lyrics to be almost thrown at the listener until it reaches the chorus. This in turn, almost feels like a haven, a landing place of peace and unity with the lyrics ‘let’s not fight, let’s unite, we are fallin’ angels tonight, and we’re beyond the wall’. I involved my listeners in the track by asking them to send audio clips of them singing this part which I incorporated into the two big choruses. This really makes the track special to me and hopefully to them too.”
lyrics
Find me in the eden where the lake is never cold,
Where the lessons of forgiveness are the strength within our bones,
While the presence of the criminals is making us feel old,
And the bodies of the peaceful hold a secret, never told,
Can you walk me through the hallways of the paradise we own,
Taking pictures of the demons that have cursed our troubled souls.
While the selfish and the greedy light a pathway to the gold,
And the fall of Mother Nature is a story to be told.
If we never told a lie, we would never be alive,
We’d have lost this wicked fight and be forced to run and hide,
Give me patience, give me light, just to get me through the night,
In this war.
Let’s not fight, let’s unite,
We are Fallin’ angels tonight,
And we’re beyond the wall.
There’s a demon in the forest and he’s hiding over there,
Where he’s counting all his victims of depression and despair,
Pulling patience from the restless who are haunted by their nerve,
Taking optimism from the people leading with their hurt.
If we never lost the fight, we would only be alive,
We’d have lost our given right to be warriors of life,
Give me patience, give me light, just to get me through the night,
In this war.
Let’s not fight, let’s unite,
We are Fallin’ angels tonight,
And we’re beyond the wall.
Let’s not fight, let’s unite,
We are Fallin’ angels tonight,
And we’re beyond the wall.
Let’s not fight, let’s unite,
We are Fallin’ angels tonight,
And we’re beyond the wall.
Let’s not fight, let’s unite,
We are Fallin’ angels tonight,
And we’re beyond the wall,
And we’re beyond the wall.
